and thank you for visiting my corner of the internet.
I write layered stories about families, relationships, and how the past often influences the present.
My debut novel, Mute Swans, began life many years ago as a Creative Writing dissertation at the University of Exeter. Life, though, doesn’t always go to plan, and it was some years before it grew into the story it was meant to be: a multi-generational family saga set against the shifting backdrop of British society.
A perfect length for book club readers, it has Miriam at its heart; a wife, mother, sister and daughter,  finding her place in this complex world we all call home.
